A 34-year-old woman, Nofisat Ogunyemi, was on Friday docked in an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, for alleged stealing of N573,395,00.
Ogunyemi is facing a count charge of stealing to which she pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Sept.16, at Baale bus-stop, Owutu, Agric area of Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa alleged that the defendant stole the sum N573, 395 belonging to Mr Ramon Saheed, the complainant.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravenes the provisions of section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr A.O. Ogbe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ogbe adjourned the case until Oct. 24, for mention. (NAN)
