Kaduna State Beach Soccer Association Chair, Musa Nimrod, on Wednesday inaugurated the board and Sub-Committee members of the association.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports (NAN) reports that the members are Yusuf Abubakar Mustapha, Sunday Adeleye, Vola Abidoye and Mohammed Sani .
Others are Isaiah Benjamin (Media Officer), Grace John, Daniel Ogbonna (WADSON), Abdullahi Isa (Technical Director) and Florence Yori (Secretary).
Nimrod also appointed board members as chairmen of the various committees which included Abubakar, Technical, Training and Development Committee and Adeleye, Marketing and Sponsorship Committee.
Also Benjamin, Media and Publicity Committee and Ogbonna, Ethics, Discipline and Welfare Committee.
Musa urged the board and the sub-committee members to be prepared to make sacrifices to uplift the association.
“It is time to restrategise and reposition the association in Kaduna state and make the game better.
“The technical and development committee should meet and start work immediately because it is a challenge to build the sport for God and humanity,“ he said.
Meanwhile, the board members had indicated readiness to compete in the beach soccer national league scheduled to hold in Kwara on Feb. 23.
The competition would be played in four centres, Kwara, Lagos, Kebbi and Kaduna for the finals in June.
Speaking at the inauguration, representative of the Nigeria Beach Soccer and Coordinator, Nigeria Beach Soccer league, Alhaji Mahmud Hadeja, commended the association chairman Nimrod and the board members.
Also speaking, Kaduna State Football Association Chairman, Kassim Sherreef, expressed confidence in the ability of the inaugurated board to deliver on the mandate and lead the association to victory in every competition.
A member of the board, Ogbonna, in an acceptance speech on behalf of the other board members, said they would give their best in order to elevate the association to the top again. (NAN)
