Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal has urged the Federal Government to delegate the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to help sensitize the Islamist sect, Boko Haram rather than focusing  squarely on  the senate president and other government agencies.

Addressing newsmen and staff of NOA, Monday in Abuja, at the commissioning of buses and flag-off of the distribution of projectors to the agency’s local government offices, Tambuwal  said ’’ the issue of Boko Haram is lack of understanding of the basic tenet of Islam which is the cause of insecurity in the country’’ adding that if the dreaded sect continues  to hide behind the mask on the grievance of Nigeria, insecurity in the country will be difficult to be addressed.

The Speaker of the Lower chamber therefore stressed that adequate funding should be accrued to NOA for it to sensitize the sect.

For his part, Director General of NOA, Mike Omeri in unveiling the theme of the programme tagged ‘Do The Right Thing’ said the distribution of the projectors to local government is to help spread the campaign to rural areas.

The Federal Road Safety Commission Corp Marshal, Chijioke Osita at the commissioning said the country need to be re-identified.

The fourteen -seater buses and tricycle machines donated by one Innocent Motors are said to be a made in Nigeria products. The company through its representative promised to continue its supports to NOA in any way.
