New Deal Organization ,a registered non governmental organization, essentially established with the aim of reaching out to youth and parents, by giving the youth moral reorientation, has begun what it described as enlightenment campaigns “ that will promote National self reliance, productivity, self actualization and leadership amongst the youths in Nigeria”, the organization said in a statement . The New Deal is the latest project of Mr Daniel Kanu, renowned for his youth mobilization campaign,Youth Earnestly Ask For Abacha.
“We have been able to get approval from the FCT secondary education board to reach out to students of senior secondary schools. We have been able to visit and talk to over 2000 students in two schools in the FCT which include GSS Karu, GSS Apo and GSS Garki by now, and we already have an appointment with four more schools. We intend to reach out to seven schools and around seven thousand students in the next two weeks”
Also , the statement said “the National Chairman of (New Deal Organization), Mr. Daniel Kanu has provided the organization with every materials needed ranging from Mobilization, exercise books, pens, flyers, folders, membership form, family agreement form and note pads that we share to the students and teachers. He is stating that this is just the beginning and that New Deal Organization is intending to reach out to millions of people around Nigeria.
“We have been able to come up with manuals and presentations on our thematic words which are Honesty, Honour, Integrity, Respect, Courtesy, Contentment, Conscience and Patriotism etc. These are words we teach these students, and encourage them to practice them on daily bases. The youths are the leaders of tomorrow and if they learn morals, they will lead Country in moral way.
New Deal Organization said it “has the holy obligation of lowering crime rate in Nigeria, educate and change the mindset of youths and encourage them to practice good morals and habit with a vision of crime free, drug free society.”
