Group endorses Gwarzo’s bid for next Kano APC chairman

A group, Patriotic Volunteers, has endorsed Ibrahim Gwarzo as its candidate for the next chairman of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


The group’s spokesperson, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, said this while addressing newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.
“After due consultations with members of the party, strongly endorsed a seasoned Politician in the person of Hon. Ibrahim Dan’azumi Gwarzo for the party’s chairmanship in Kano State.
He said the endorsement was in line with the its mission to promote unity, progress and democratic values.


“Hon. Gwarzo is a four-time Commissioner in Kano State, a former CPC Kano State Chairman, a former Chairman Board of Directors Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO) Lagos.
“He is also a two-term Chairman Kano State Land Use and Allocation Committee (KNSLUAC), and owner of the 2022 Man of Integrity Award by Gani Fawehinmi Foundation, Lagos etc.,” he said.
Alhaji, who is also the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, said the group was impressed by Gwarzo’s leadership credentials.

He said Gwarzo had capacity to support and strengthen APC at both the national, state and local government levels.
“He has the capacity to lead in uniting and empowering the APC, fostering a future where our principles of integrity, development, and inclusivity guide us towards a united and prosperous Nigeria”, he said.
Alhaji said the group had outlined clear and focused objectives that would serve as the foundation of efforts and strategies to ensure that APC achieved its targets.
These, it said, included upholding the core values and principles of the APC, ensuring that its actions and initiatives aligned with the party’s mission,
“We will provide unwavering support to our leaders and candidates, working collaboratively to achieve our common goals.
We will engage with communities to understand their needs and aspirations, and advocate policies that address their concerns”, he said. (NAN)
