Troops of Sector 1, covering Abia State have arrested two suspected armed robbers with the collaboration of local vigilantes.
The suspects were arrested at Aron Ngwa Checkpoint today Wednesday 27th September 2017.
They were allegedly responsible for robbing travellers on Aba – Umuahia expressway, close to old toll gate location. Three members of the group are at large.
Items found with them at the time of their arrest include; 1 × locally made pistol, 4 x live catridges, 1 x Jack knife, 2 x cellphones and suspected sachet of indian hemp.
The suspects will be handed over to the police after preliminary investigation.
