More updates on the identities of those killed have continued to emerge. Newsdiaryonline.com has learnt that among the dead in the Dana Air Mishap was Falmata , daughter of Colonel Kur Mohammed who was one of the victims of that coup 1966 coup.Also, Istifanus Muttihir was also on the plane. Both were staff of CBN.A top official of the CBN said Sunday evening, “So far it seems we lost Kim Norris a special adviser to the governor. Kim was Canadian and has worked with the CBN for over 3 years on supervision under the IMF TIA. We hear his son may have been with him he came to visit from Canada. We have confirmed two of our staff dead so far and the sister to our director human resources.”Also Levi Ajuonuma of NNPC, Ibrahim Dapcida a former super permanent secretary were among those on the ill fated flight.
Dr Jibrin Ibrahim of CDD in Abuja has also announced the death of a colleague :”We announce with a heavy heart the death of our colleague Alvana Ojukwu,in the Dana aircraft crash this afternoon. She was enroute to Lagos to attend a workshop on promoting affirmative action for women in our political system. Alvana was a bright young lawyer who was totally committed to her job of improving the conditions of women. AS the programme officer in charge of gender in CDD, she was always on the forefront of devising programmes that can lead to positive change. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
