The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has condemned in its entirety, the arrest of the Chairman of the Joint Action Front, Dr Dipo Fashina, Comrade Aremu Abiodun, JAF Executive Secretary, Usman Oloyede and Segun Oladunni, after staging a peaceful protest against the Lagos State draconian Traffic Law .
Reacting to the news on behalf of the Coalition, its Executive Chairman, Debo Adeniran declared that the Lagos State government rule of force cannot overcome the rule of law and thereby warned the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN to tread with caution.
“The rule of force cannot triumph over the rule of law. Extra-judicial destruction of impounded motor bikes is jungle judgment that should be stopped at all costs. People of good intention should call Fashola to order now! Fashola should respect his own laws and tread with caution so as not to engender mass anger
The human rights activist also urged the Lagos State House of Assembly to intervene in the face off between the motor bike riders and the Lagos government to avert the looming danger and curb the executive lawlessness of the Lagos State governor.
