Fresh bomb explosions have been reported at Maiduguri’s main market.This is coming just about a week after two female suicide bombers detonated bombs killing many .
Qouting witnesses, Reuters said once again ,“Two explosions in quick succession struck the crowded main market in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri on Monday.”
No casualty figure was available but the explosions occurred shortly before midday in the capital of Borno state. Similar bomb blasts hit Kano Central Mosque last Friday killing over 100 people while more than 135 others were injured.
Today’s explosion came just as Nigerians were grappling with reports of massive attack on Damaturu , capital of neighbouring Yobe state.
Militants suspected to be Boko Haram launched attacks on Damaturu killing yet to be determined number of victims.
Fighter jets have also been reportedly been seen hovering over Damaturu.One report said the jets have been been battling the insurgents.
Official reports on the Borno explosions and Damaturu attacks are being expected.
