The Action Congress of Nigeria,ACN has held its last national Convention in Lagos on Thursday.Despite the fears that President Jonathan’s visit might affect the attendance, the convention was well attended by the party loyalists from across the country.
Among the top dignitaries at the event were General Muhammadu Buhari of CPC,former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano state(ANPP) and APGA’s Governor Roachas Okorocha .ACN governors were also in attendance as well as ex Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Members of the party approved the change of name from ACN to APC in fulfulment of the requirement for the merger with CPC,ANPP and APGA.
