Oil and Gas: Association moves to overhaul operations of members

The Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association (NOGASA), on Tuesday, restated its commitment to overhaul its operations to improve services of its members in the downstream sector.

Alhaji Abdullahi Idris, who spoke on behalf of the association, said this at a news conference in Abuja.

Idris said that the news conference was ahead of the inauguration of its national executive board.

He said that this had become important because of the need for proper documentation and registration of its members to reposition the association and make it more functional.

According to him, this is to enable us reorganise to accommodate bonafide suppliers of natural oil and gas across the country.

“Our principal objective is to create special features for the benefit of our members and Nigerians at large.

“Necessary arrangement has been put in place to hold the official inauguration of our executive members on Thursday in Abuja.

“When this is done, it will enable us to support our members, especially those operating in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry.

“It will also promote Nigeria’s local content production in the oil and gas industry, encourage local patronage and foster business collaboration,” he said. (NAN)
