Buhari Returns From London Today, Addresses Nigerians Monday

President Muhammadu Buhari will return to Nigeria from London today, Saturday, August 19,2017, Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina  has disclosed.

Adesina’s statement released Saturday morning said, “President Muhammadu Buhari returns to the country later today, after receiving medical attention in London.

“The President had left the country on May 7, this year, after handing over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who has functioned as Acting President since then.

Adesina also disclosed that “President Buhari is expected to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast by 7 a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017.

“He thanks all Nigerians who have prayed ceaselessly for his recovery and well-being since the beginning of the health challenge.”

Buhari’s return comes a day after Pastor Enoch Adeboye of Redeemed Church visited him in Abuja House ,London.

Earlier in the week,Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara had visited him again.

Much earlier, the President’s Media Team  including Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, Senior Special Assistant, Media, Malam Garba Shehu, Assistant  on social media, Lauretta onochie and Senior Special Assistant on Diasporal Matters, Abike Dabiri  were in London to meet with the president.

The recent floodgate of visits was opened by some APC governors and leadership of the party. Later a delegation of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum  visited the president.

Speaker Dogara disclosed after his visit that Buhari’s health has improved tremendously.

The president’s return also come amid continuing campaign calling on him to  #ResumeOrResign.

The campaign was suspended in Abuja after the president’s supporters clashed with the campaigners led by Charly Boy at Wuse Market.

Meanwhile,  the  nature of  Buhari’s illness remains undisclosed.
