Dutsin-ma Development Association (DDA), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has pledged to collaborate with security operatives in fighting insecurity in Dutsni-ma Local Government Area of Katsina state.
The Chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Sabiu Liadi, stated this when he led executive members of the association on a courtesy visit to the District Head of Dutsin-ma, Alhaji Sada Muhammad-Sada, and security formations in the area on Friday.
Represented by the Vice Chairman of the Union, Alhaji Ali Ibrahim, Liadi commended the District Head and the security operatives for their efforts in fighting banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and other criminalities in the local government area and its environs.
He noted that the security issue was a collective task, hence the need for everyone to join hands in the fight against insecurity in the local government and the state in general.
“We expressed our appreciation in the way and manner the police, the vigilance, members of the state security service, the civil Defence and everybody was assisting in fighting insecurity in the area.
“In view of this, we will also work in synergy with the security by supporting them morally, logistically and financially.to purchase working tools in the war against the evil acts that had befallen our local area and the state at large. We firmly believe this initiative will assist in bringing these evils to an end”, Liadi said.
Liade announced that the Association, which has been in existence since the 1980s, had intervened in various endeavours for the development of the area, including award of scholarships to indigent students, self-help communal efforts, political, social, security issues, among others.
In their responses, the District Head of Dutsin-ma, Alhaji Muhammad-Sada, the Area Commander of the Police (AC), in charge of the area, Assistant Commissioner of Police ((AC) Aminu Umar, alongside the Divisional Police Officer(DPO), Chief Superintendent of police (DPO), Bello Kelembus, thanked the organisation for the visit and pledged to collaborate with it in the fight against insecurity in the area.
