Following reports of anger in Buhari’s camp over allegations that Oshiomhole’s action may wreck the All Progressives Party, APC some supporters of the party’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole have risen to his defence. Newsdiaryonline had published a story Friday night .
The story has however elicited mixed reactions. There are those who called in expressing the feeling that Oshiomhole’s moves are indeed destroying the party. One of such views was expressed by a prominent politician from Edo State who accused the national chairman of “rubbishing and upturning” the primaries held earlier in the state because his loyalists did not emerge as candidates. “We are not happy with him” the politician from Edo State told Newsdiaryonline Saturday morning.
But supporters of Oshiomhole told Newsdiaryonline that it is wrong to blame the national chairman for the crisis rocking the APC over the primaries. One of those who spoke Who defended Oshiomhole cited the crises in Lagos ,Zamfara states among others. He said it was Tinubu’s influence that made Governor Ambode to lose. Equally, he added that Governor Abdulaziz Yari’s battle with the G8 is responsible for the situation in Zamfara.
“The fact is that our politics is taking a turn for the worse and the governors in most states want to have their way” one of the chairman’s supporters said.
“We cannot blame Oshiomhole who is trying to protect the party’s interest and ensure a level playing field” he added.
But Oshiomhole’s critics say they see more trouble ahead for the party as they blame him for seeking to have total control.
