The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF)  has commiserated with  families affected by the tragic collapse of a school building in Plateau, which resulted in the loss of multiple lives, living  many injured.

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF)  has commiserated with  families affected by the tragic collapse of a school building in Plateau, which resulted in the loss of multiple lives, living  many injured.

The NGF Chairman, Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, made this known in a statement by the forum acting Head of Media, Ahmed Halimah on Saturday in Abuja.

According to him, the governors stand in solidarity with people of Plateau and affected families during the difficult time.

AbdulRazaq commended the swift response of the rescue teams and efforts of the state government in managing the crisis.

He expressed the forum’s readiness to support the state government in the efforts to help mitigate impact of the tragedy to the affected families and to prevent future occurrences.

“Safety in our schools is paramount, and we must take immediate steps to address any lapses.

“We are committed to supporting Plateau in providing necessary assistance to the affected families,” he said.

AbdulRazaq prayed that God should grant the affected families the strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.

He added that the forum’s prayers and thoughts were with Mutfwang, the Busa Buji community, and entire Plateau during the difficult time. (NAN)
