Two vehicles belonging to President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign were set ablaze in Suleja, a local government area in Niger state.Niger is another PDP state where violence is being recorded against Jonathan’s campaign train.
The vehicles were burnt at the old garage area of Suleja few minutes after the PDP governorship campaign rally held in the town.
Though the vehicles were burnt to ashes but no live was lost.
The identity of the attackers and the cause of the attack were however unknown
It was learnt that the attack would have escalated to a full blown crisis if not for the timely intervention of the military who condoned off the area.
Effort to reach the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Niger state police command DSP M. Gambari, over the incident was abortive .
