President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday visited former Minister of Defense, Gen Theophilus Danjuma at his residence in Abuja.
At the end of their meeting which was held behind close d doors, General Danjuma expressed gratitude to Jonathan for the visit . Danjuma also praised him over the way he handled the March 28th presidential elections.
Jonathan had conceded defeat with a phone call to General Muhammadu Buhari even before the winner was finally declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission
The former Defence minister said Jonathan’s decision to concede defeat to Buhari, set a massive record in the history of the country’s democracy.
“President Jonathan has set a history, a record as something to be emulated by Africa and indeed the whole world. Its an excellent thing he did,” Danjuma said.
Jonathan also thanked Danjuma for his fatherly support in the course of the election.
