“The names of the affected lecturers will be published and forwarded to disciplinary committee for necessary action, “he said.

He claimed that a lecturer in the college persuaded a married woman to have an affair with her in order to aid her pass his course.

The sole administrator assured that the case had been forwarded to the disciplinary committee for proper investigation and necessary action.

“The case is before the disciplinary committee, we must make sure that justice prevails.

“I therefore urge all of us to be very careful, as lecturers, there is no reason why a student whose father is suffering to pay his or her school fees will give you money and you collect it.

“This is a disservice to education and to the society at large. In a decent environment, lecturers support their students to graduate.”

Yakubu-Arrigasiyyu said the essence of  the interactive session was to seek for pieces of advice, contributions, observations, persuasions, criticisms among others from the staff with a view to moving the college forward.

“We feel there is no any manipulation of knowledge, you can’t say I know all, that is the beginning of your failure.

“We say let us create an avenue where all of us should sit down together in a free atmosphere, advise ourselves and  interact as brothers and sisters.

“I assure you that there is immunity here, please talk to me as you want, like your own son.

“Where you feel we are going wrong, please kindly alert us, I am sincerely assuring you that I will take note and make the necessary corrections.”

Yakubu-Arrigasiyyu said his desire was that by March 2019, he would hand over the mantle of leadership of the college to a substantive provost with a very good remarkable precedence.

He said that his management has promoted no fewer than 56 staff as a source of motivation to others.

Earlier, the Acting Registrar of the college, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan, described the session as the first of its kind in the history of the college.

He observed that there was no any master plan set aside for the college that would critically look into the past, present and future of the institution.

“This kind of plan will enable the college to examine and assess itself to be able to know areas of strength and weakness in order to plan ahead,“ he said.

Hassan advised the staff to feel free to voice out their minds, assuring that it was through collective efforts that would facilitate rapid growth and development of the college.

Presentations were made by various Directors of Schools of the college, followed by general discussion and full interactive session. (NAN)
