Ebere Amaraizu, the Team Manager of Football Club of Enugu, says his team’s home draw with city rivals Vemard Africa FC on Friday in the Nationwide League One (NLO) is a disappointment.
Amaraizu, while speaking in reaction to the 1-1 draw, said his team had looked forward to taking home all the three points.
“We beat them in their home and here on our ground we have only got a draw and lost two points. It is not what we bargained for,’’ he said.
Crime Busters had defeated Vemard Africa 1-0 in the first round fixture at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC) football pitch, Vemard Africa’s adopted home.
Amaraizu said in spite of his team working hard in the game, the result was still not satisfactory.
“Our players had to work hard. But we are not satisfied with the result. However, in our next game we will definitely do better,’’ he said.
During the week 5 match on Friday, Ademoranma Eze gave Crime Busters the lead in the 15th minute while Ogadinma Okenwa equalised for the visiting side in the 21st minute.
