#TrackNigeria: President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday pledged to complete all ongoing Federal Government projects in Kwara.

The president made the pledge  at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji lbrahim Sulu-Gambari, during a courtesy visit.

Buhari, who was accompanied by top officials of the administration and All Progressives Congress (APC)  stalwarts, was in the state in continuation of the party’s campaign for the general elections.

The president described the completion of the Ilorin–Jebba road project as a testimony of the Federal Government’s  determination to complete all ongoing projects in the state.

He also said his administration had  been able to tackle the prevalent insecurity in the North East Zone.

Government, he said, was also able to empower the agriculture ministry in order to facilitate soft loans  and other farm inputs for farmers across the country.

The president further  reaffirmed his determination to continue to fight corruption and bring back the lost glory of the nation.

“With this, I will not give up and we know that people who believe in us will definitely support us and with this, we shall achieve more for the nation, ” he said.

Sulu-Gambari, in his remarks, commended the president for engaging in a peaceful campaign as well as embarking on infrastructural development of the country.

The National Chairman of APC, Adam Oshiomhole, said that the presidential delegation was at the palace to receive royal blessings for the success of the party in the forthcoming polls.

Many streets in the state capital were agog during  the president’s  visit.

Thousands of  Ilorin residents  took to the streets chanting various solidarity songs in favour of the APC and its presidential flagbearer.

The president and his entourage later left the emir’s palace for the Metropolitan Square in  llorin where he addressed thousands of APC supporters at a rally. (NAN)
