The Presidency of Cote d’Ivoire announced Wednesday the dissolution of the government headed by Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly.
In an official statement, the General Secretary of the Presidency Patrick Achi announced the end of the functions of Prime Minister Gon Coulibaly and his government.
He noted that Coulibaly has been reappointed as Prime Minister and that he is in charge of forming a new government in the near future.
“In the meantime, the outgoing ministers are responsible, as far as it is concerned, to manage the day-to-day business,” according to the statement.
Coulibaly has been Prime Minister, Head of Government of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, since January 2017.
Previously he served as Senior Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency, since the accession to power of President Alassane Ouattara.
He was a close associate of President Alassane Ouattara. (Xinhua/NAN)
