Senator Isiaka Adelek has been confirmed dead, reports from Osogbo,Osun state capital said.
Adeleke, also the first civilian governor of Osun State died Sunday morning at Biket Hospital, Osogbo.
The politician who was popularly called Serubawon in Yoruba land was still serving his second term as a senator when he suddenly died this morning.
There was no immediate report of the cause of his death but reports claimed it may not be unconnected with cardiac arrest.
He served as a senator between 2007 and 2011 on the platform of of Peoples Democratic Party,PDP.He later decamped to the All Progressives Congress in 2015 and bagged his second term ticket as a senator.
