The Association of Ndiezeudo in the 19 Northern States and Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria on Tuesday, paid courtesy call on the APC national leader, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and hailed him for integrity. The organization also used the opportunity to let Nigerians know that it has endorsed the candidature of Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha as well as other APC governorship candidates from the south east geo-political zone.
Speaking on behalf of the association, its president, Ezeudo Dr Uche Egenti, said, “We are here to hail you as one of the sons of Nd’Igbo who has not been indicted in any form in this country. People saw you as an opposition, but what you have been fighting for years has manifested positively today, because you are a man of fore sight.
“However, our advice to you is to ensure that everybody is carried along for the country to move to the expected level. We are behind you and must continue to be behind you”.
Speaking on the endorsement of the candidature of Owelle Rochas Okarcha of Imo State for performance in office and recognition of his association, Egenti said the rulers had also endorsed other governorship candidates of the APC in the South East. He went further to say that it was only Okorocha that invited them to his office in Imo State, gave them certificate of recognition as well as promised them a vehicle. He however urged other governors to emulate Governor Okorocha, saying that he has delivered in Imo State.
In response, Onu who couldn’t contain his happiness commended the president of the association for his wisdom by towing the part of the APC, even as he added that with people like him, Nd’Igbo shall have bright future. He therefore regretted that the election was massively rigged in the south east, but was quick to say that his party was aware that Nd’Igbo voted for it en-mass.
Calling on Nd’igbo and Nigerians in general to continue to give their supports to the APC, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu however informed that with his party in power, they would not only move the country to the expected level, but do their best to ensure that the country is respected by other nationals. He therefore promised to neither disappoint Nd’Igbo nor Nigerians in general.
Similarly, Eze Igbo of Zamfara State, HRH,Egbuna Obijiaku hailed Ndieze-Udo for recognizing the legacy of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, even as he called on other sons and daughters of Nd’Igbo to emulate him. He therefore called for support of the APC for positive change.
