The Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) has commiserated with the Government and people of Ekiti State over the death of the state’s Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Aduni Olayinka.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu enjoined Governor Kayode Fayemi and the people of the state to be encouraged by the fact the late Deputy Governor lived an inspiring and a fulfilled life.
In a statement signed by Governor Aliyu’s Chief Press Secretary, Danladi Ndayebo, the forum urged members of the deceased’s family to be consoled by the fact that the late funmilayo departed after a life of dedication to service of God and humanity.
The statement described the late Mrs Olayinka as a ‘good woman’ who had a positive impact on the environment around her, emphasizing that the late Deputy Governor brought change to her immediate family, her community, and all the people she met during her sojourn on earth, especially women and children.
The statement said the best tribute that the people of Ekiti State can pay to the late Funmilayo is to sustain her good work of touching the lives of the weak and poor.
It prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and the people of Ekiti State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
