Reports today said a Federal High Court Abuja has vacated the warrant of arrest which the Senate issued against Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, PRTT.
Justice Adamu Bello’s ruling today may have given some respite to the embattled Maina ruled that the warran to arrest was not in consonance with section 88 of the 1999 constitution (amended).The judge also said there was no evidence to show that due process was followed leading to the issuance of the warrant of arrest.
Maina had gone underground after the Nigeria Police Force declared him wanted based on the warrant of arrest issued by the senate.
