Pope Francis was due to wrap up a four-day Vatican summit against child abuse on Sunday.
He will give a speech following Mass with all the world bishops who took part in the unprecedented gathering.
The meeting was called in response to a new spate of clergy sex abuse and cover-up allegations, including in the U.S., Chile, Germany and Australia, which exacerbated the Catholic Church’s decades-old sex abuse crisis.
On the first day of the summit, Francis called for the summit to deliver “concrete and effective measures,’’ rather than “simple and predictable condemnations,’’ and presented a 21-point reform road map against child abuse. (dpa/NAN)
