#TrackNigeria: Candidates seeking for political offices in the forthcoming general elections on Tuesday stormed a meeting of pastors in Kwarhi town of Hong Local Government area in Adamawa to seek for votes.
The meeting was the 2019 Ministers’ Annual Conference, organized by Church of Brethren in Nigeria (EYN).
Addressing the gathering of pastors, the gubernatorial candidate of PDP in Adamawa, Alhaji Umaru Fintiri, described himself as the best candidate for the state because of his level of preparedness to serve.
“I did not just step out to contest for governorship without assessing myself. I made sure that I am fully prepared with the necessary knowledge, skills and plans to transform the state.
“I will be just to all people of Adamawa and will assure you that nobody will cry over discrimination because of his tribe or religion.
“I will promote peace and prosperity and will surely convince you that I am the best candidate,” Fintiri said.
The governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Emmanuel Bello, who also showed up at the venue of the conference, said he was there to seek for prayers and support in his quest to serve the state.
Bello said he had a 10-point action plan to transform the agriculture sector, ensure youth empowerment and security in the state.
Other candidates that showed up to address the conference included serving APC House of Representatives member, Yusuf Buba of Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency and Adamawa Central Senatorial Candidate of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Mr Amos Sunday.
In his response to the candidates, President of the church, Rev. Joel Billi, thanked them for the visit and urged them to embark on issue-based campaigns. With reports by (NAN)
