The Kogi State Government on Friday announced plans to hold a three-day workshop for school managers in both public and private schools in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs Rosemary Osikoya, the state’s Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Lokoja.
Osikoya said the proposed workshop had been scheduled to hold between Jan. 30 and Feb. 1, 2019 in Lokoja.
She called on chairmen of boards and heads of primary and post primary schools in the state, to take advantage of the proposed workshop.
According to the commissioner, topics to be presented at the workshop will centre around: Effective Quality Assurance Evaluation, Pedagogy, Self-Evaluation and Basic Introduction to Curriculum.
She said the essence of the workshop was to re-position the school system in the state for effective service delivery.
“It is our belief that handlers of the school system require regular updating to ensure compliance with modern techniques in the sector,” Osikoya said. (NAN)
