SSS Storms Kidnappers’ Hideout, Rescues Cosmas Maduka’s Elder Brother

Operatives of the Department of State Service on Monday stormed a hideout used by kidnapped and rescued Mr Pius Maduka, an elder brother of Coscharis company owner Cosmas Maduka.
Pius, who was kidnapped nine days ago at Nnewi in Anambra State was rescued in Orlu in Imo State. His abductors were said to have demanded and collected N15 million but refused to release him. Thereafter they demanded for another N28million saying the amount would make up for the release of Pius and the wife, a woman that wasn’t even kidnapped but whom the kidnappers had mistaken her for another woman in captivity.
But Monday morning, operatives of the Service stormed the hideout of the kidnappers, rescued Plus, killed one of the kidnappers and arrested four others.
