Kaduna South PDP Senatorial Primary results: Nenadi 123, Gumbari 70, Shettima Dr. Danjuma La’ah 129.With this,Dr La’ah defeated incumbent senator Nenadi with margin of 6 votes.La’ah is popularly known as Shettima, a retired civilservant and business magnate with impeccable record of followership in the area.
He is the owner of the famous New World and Unity Wonder Hotels in Kafanchan, aside government, he is touted to be the most employer of labor in Southern Kaduna, he is an accountant by training and practice, a man of few words but sound in political mobilization.
Since 1999 to date, no single Senator has ever gotten second term in Southern Kaduna, Senator Nenadi Esther Usman the current senator representing the zone fought so hard to break jinx the gin of a single tenure but could not.
Although she has been facing stiff opposition ever faced by any incumbent senator in the area.
Nenadi cut her political teeth early in life and has vast knowledge of the terrain, she is articulate and intelligent too and strong in thick power struggle, she was adviser at tender age of 26, different times commissioner and a former minister of finance.
