Senator Umaru Dahiru Loses Mother

The Mother of Senator Umaru Dahiru Tambuwal, who represents Sokoto South senatorial district, is dead.
Hajiya Fatima Attahiru died at the age of 97, at her residence in Sokoto on Wednesday after a protracted illness.
Attended by the Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; Governor Aliyu Wamakko, Sultan Muhammdadu Sa’ad Abubakar, traditional rulers and other personalities, the funeral prayer of the deceased was conducted in Tambuwal in accordance with Islamic rites.
She is survived by three children among who is Sen. Umaru Dahiru Tambuwal, grand children and many great grand children.
