Security Operatives Raid Suspected Boko Haram Hide Out In Kaduna

A  team of heavily armed soldiers and other security operatives raided a house suspected to be hideout of Boko Haram commander . The incident that was concealed by the security operatives was revealed to some journalists by some residents  on Thursday.

Newsdiaryonline gathered that the Boko Haram Commander who had prepared an escape route  through back door of the house he rented after fleeing from Borno , escaped when the security operatives stormed the house, No 4 ,Fulani road Ungwar Dosa his hideout in Kaduna North Local Government Area , Kaduna

The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations Department , I Division Headquarters , Nigeria Army , Kaduna Colonel Abdul Usman claimed he was yet to be briefed about the incident  when contacted via phone over the raid of the hideout of the suspected Boko Haram commander. However ,a  neighbor who spoke under plea of anonymity confirmed that soldiers did raid and demolished the house following a tip off from some neighbors.

The neighbors also said there was a serious heavy shootout between the security operatives and Boko Haram commander for several hours, but unknown to the operatives ,the Boko Haram commander left his automatic rifle on while he escaped .

He narrated further that the house was allegedly leased out to one Mallam Muhammed Mai Borno, who moved into the premises with his wife few weeks ago.

He equally hinted that he once personally had discussions with the suspected commander oblivious of the man’s dark history. “When we asked after his children, he said they are in school somewhere in the North East and we discovered that he is always traveling and we never suspected any foul play until we start hearing gun shots in the night”. He said.

Speaking to some journalists at Ungwar Dosa today , another resident of the area , Alhaji Usman Ahmed, disclosed that the security team arrived the area around 12 midnight and within some few minutes the area was cordoned off and this was followed by sporadic gun shots.

“I was in my house which is in the next street and was woken up by the gun shots, initially I thought it was a robbery attack and I called the leader of the Vigilante group in the area who told me that there is no cause for alarm,” he stated.

Newsdiaryonline however learnt that the owner of the property was arrested and whisked away by security agents to an unknown destination.

As at the time of filling the report, no security agency has confirmed the report.
