The Wife of the Governor of Rivers State, Hon Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom Wike and the Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah have urged Christian Women to fervently pray for the Governor, Nyesom Wike to succeed in his determined effort to restore the State to its glory.
The Wife of the State Governor, Hon Justice Nyesom Wike and the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah spoke separately as Special Guest of Honour and Guest of Honour at a Praise Night and Fund Raising Ceremony, as part of activities of the League Week of the Women’s League of Christ Church, Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
According to Her Excellency the First Lady, “I appeal to Christian Women to pray for the Governor. Pray for direction for the Governor, so that Rivers State will get to the heights it’s supposed to be.
“I believe in the Governor’s vision. Rivers State will get there, with Governor Nyesom Wike”.
She commended the women for organising the week long programme aimed at seeking the face of God and propagating His word, urging them to sustain it and assured of her continous support in spreading the word of God.
On his part, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, speaking on the side line of the ceremony, said the choice of a woman as Deputy Governor of Rivers State, underscores the vantage position women occupy in the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike.
Bro Obuah who is also the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP urges Christian Women and indeed the Christian community to support and prayer for Governor Nyesom Wike.
He commended the Women’s League of the Christ Church Port Harcourt for organising the Praise Night and their projects that are centred on empowering women through skills, crafts and scholarship, and promised to support them to actualize their dream.
