#TrackNigeria: A leading Arewa group, the Northern Emancipation Network (NEN) yesterday took a swipe at Musa Sarkin Adar, an aspirant for the post of the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Network, in a statement signed by its spokesperson Tijjani Lawal Hassan and made available to Newsdiaryonline described Adar as “a sell out and one of the many political liabilities to the North.
“Sarkin Adar who is aspiring as deputy for Gbajabiamila, is among the ugly conspirators working for Bola Ahmed Tinubu against northern interest.
“He is in the category of opportunistic fringe northern politicians whose unfocused, ineffective and inadequate representation in the federal parliament only goes to serve self with no meaningful impact on the people of the North or even their immediate constituencies.
“Worse still, he is among those currently in the business of dragging the region to the gallery by playing the cards dealt them by Tinubu and his men working against 2023.
“The North has grown wise and is no longer disposed to accepting every baggage packaged by the self-serving greed of politicians who have no scruples in sacrificing the general interest of the region and staking its fate in the hands of its enemies,” the statement said.
The Group warned northern members of the House of Representatives and other stakeholders to beware of the antics of Tinubu and the West who are now trying to exert monopoly over the National Assembly with the aim of manipulating 2023 to their advantage.
“Pairing Gbajabiamila with Sarkin Adar, who has never been known to be smart, is a grand plot by Bola Tinubu so that eventually the deputy who in theory is coming from the North would be helpless and the North thereby rendered effectively voiceless,” the group warned.
