As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has pledged to continue to sponsor its Annual |National Quiz Competition among secondary school students in order to encourage the study of science based subjects in the country.
The NNPC noted that it would continue to impact positively on the lives of secondary school students through the annual quiz competition.
Also,the Corporation stated that the Grand Finale of the NNPC 2015 Annual Quiz Competition scheduled for July 7th, 2015 draws on finalists from Akwa Ibom, the Federal Capital Territory, Gombe, Anambra, Katsina and Lagos States who are expected to compete in the English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and General Knowledge.
The Corporation pledged that it would continue to ensure that Nigerians benefit from the abundant hydrocarbon resources in the country stressing that the various Strategic Business Units of the NNPC also donate laboratory equipment and instructional materials to various schools around their areas of operations.
