The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy to partly cloudy and sunny weather conditions with localised thunderstorms over most parts of the country on Thursday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Wednesday, in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the central states with thunderstorms over Lokoja, Makurdi and Lafia in the morning hours.
It also predicted chances of widespread thunderstorm over Yola, Mambilla Plateau, Makurdi, Gombe, and Bauchi in the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures of 30 to 40 and 17 to 25 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that Northern States would experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions with day and night temperatures of 35 to 43 and 25 to 27 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over inland cities and cloudy conditions over coastal cities with thunderstorm over Enugu, Abakaliki and Akwa during morning hours.
In the afternoon and evening hours, widespread thunderstorms are likely over Ogoja, Obudu, Warri, Eket, Calaba, Yenagou and Port Harcourt with day and night temperatures of 32 to 36 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.
“With the consistent influx of moisture into the country, there are chances of scattered thunderstorm activities over some parts of the central, inland and coastal cities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
