Dr Matthew Adepoju, the Director-General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), has urged the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations not to waver in delivering high-quality services.
Adepoju made the call when a delegation of the institute in the FCT chapter paid him a courtesy visit at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
He noted the unique roles of Public Relations officers in all areas of human endeavors, and encouraged members of the profession to continue their valuable work.
Adepoju lauded NIPR for its professional excellence towards national development.
The NASRDA Boss congratulated members of the institute on their upcoming annual conference and reaffirmed NASRDA’s support for the initiative.
Earlier, the Head of the delegation, Mr. Edward Adebanjo, said that the purpose of their visit was to formally invite the Director General to chair the 2024 Annual Conference and General Meeting of the institute scheduled for November .
According to Adebanjo, the conference with the theme “Leadership and Economic Transformation,” aims to explore the link between effective leadership and economic growth.
He said the basis for the choice of the Director General to chair the event was in recognition of his transformative leadership and commitment to socio-economic development.
Also speaking, Dr. Felix Ale, Director of Media and Corporate Communication, Department of NASRDA, said Adepoju had approved training of all media staff of the agency, including their induction as members of NIPR.
Ale who thanked the NASRDA Boss for the initiative, said the gesture was the first of its kind in the history of the space agency.(NAN)
