Man butchered to death over N20 debt in Suleja

A man living in the SDP area of Kwamba in Suleja was allegedly butchered to death over N20 Indian hemp credit he sold to his friend.
Johnson Akpobi Odion, 27 years of age, an Indian hemp seller, who hails from Okpilla Edo State, was allegedly killed by one of his friends.
When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer Superintendent Nneka Eze confirmed the incident and said three suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime and had been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
The suspects, she said are Ndubuisi Eze, Mutumi Rotimi and Micheal Noah.
The DPO urged parents to watch their children and the company they keep saying: “If any parents who cannot stay close ,their children end up with bad company at same time (and )engaged themselves in Indian hemp when obviously they are idle”.

According to an eyewitness of the same address, one of Odion’s friends who the police said was on the run, had came to visit Odion and demanded for “his money which led to a heated argument and later degenerated into a fight, which claimed the life of the diseased.
