The 24-hour curfew in Kaduna state has been relaxed today. A statement by Mr Reuben Buhari , Senior Special Assisstant on Media to Governor Patrick Yakowa said, “With effect from today, Monday 18th June, people of kaduna state can move freely from 2pm to 6pm. Subsequently the curfew will now start from 6pm to 6am. People are requested to remain calm, law abiding and cooperate with security agencies,”
Bomb blasts in Zaria and Kaduna yesterday led to reprisal attacks in which several people were killed.It was the mayhem that trailed the attacks on churches that led to the imposition of a 24-hour curfew in the state to avert an escalation of the crisis.
