#TrackNigeria: Rep. Aminu Jaji (APC- Kauran Namoda/Birnin Magaji in Zamfara), and All Progressives Congress Governorship aspirant has commended president Muhammadu Buhari’s intervention in the crises plaguing the party in the state.

Jaji, who made the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Sokoto on Monday, described the president’s position to resolve the disputes as a welcome development.

Jaji promised to accept the outcome of the resolutions provided it was devoid of the present governor’s alleged illegal actions and political manoeuvres.

‘’I am in court because I am not satisfied with the outcome of the primary elections conducted in the state, even the decision of the state High Court.

‘’I have to approach the Court of Appeal in Sokoto to set aside the judgment.

‘’As a lawmaker, and a law abiding citizen, I will respect all lawful decisions and challenge any which I am not comfortable with up to the Supreme Court.

‘’I know the decisions of the apex court on primary elections have put confidence in political party loyalists,’’ he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Justices of Sokoto division of the Court of Appeal on Monday disqualified themselves from hearing the case on qualification of Zamfara All Progressives Congress (APC) to field candidates.

NAN also reports that a Zamfara High Court had earlier recognised the primary elections held by the party and declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) accept the party’s candidates for the elections. (NAN)
