Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of Taraba state has described late Imam Dalhatu Imam as a consumate journalist and an accomplished image maker who would be greatly missed.
In a statement signed by Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Emmanuel Bello, Governor Ishaku said the state and the nation has suffered a great loss in the demise of Imam. He noted that the loss would be felt by all who have come into contact with the late Imam.
He said, “the death of our illustrious son, Mr. Imam Imam is not only a loss to the media community but particularly a painful one for us in Taraba state. He was an ambassador for us and has made us proud by his humility and friendship through out his brilliant career. Already, almost everyone is in agreement that Imam lived a good life and loved his family, even as he was thoroughly committed to his duties.”
Gov. Ishaku pointed out that Imam died at a time his services were most needed in Sokoto state as well as every other parts of the country. He noted that Governor Waziri Tambuwal has also been a great leader who gave Imam tremendous opportunities to serve the state and the nation.
Condoling with the media community, the governor said he is committed to journalists welfare in Taraba state, urging them to continue to remain professional as Imam exhibited in his life work.
