Dankwambo ,Udom Win For PDP , Masari Clinches Katsina As APC Leads In Plateau

Governor Ibrahim Hassan   Dankwambo of Gombe State has  won his reelection bid  . Declaring the result Sunday, the returning officer, Prof Saminu Ibrahim said Dankwambo of PDP  polled  285,369 while Inuwa Yahaya  APC  got  205,132 votes .

Also in Akwa Ibom state,the PDP candidate,Mr Emmanuel Udom has been declared as the winner of the governorship election.

In Katsina State, former Speaker,House of Representatives,Mr Aminu Bello Masari ,APC has been declared as the governor elect.He polled 943,815 votes to defeat the PDP candidate ,Musa Nashuni who polled 496,768 votes.

In a related development, reports said APC is leading in Plateau state governorship election .APC has   clinched  11 local government areas already declared  while Peoples Democratic Party won in 5 local government areas in the state.

Nandom Kura ,a party agent  who spoke  with   our correspondent said the APC  was  leading with a  wide gap in most of the local governments and that APC was only awaiting the electoral umpire’s  official declaration of the APC governorship candidate Barrister Simon Lalong as governor elect for the state.

He said already the electorate are jubilating all over the state because the defeat of the PDP candidate who is the nephew of the incumbent governor Mr. Jonah David Jang.

According to him, “the Plateau state people, especially the civil servants have suffered untold hardship under the present PDP administration.”
