The family of Cynthia Osokogu who was murdered in Lagos has announced October 5th 2012 as the date of her internment.“My Family and I would hopefully lay our dear Sister to rest by the Grace of God on the 5th of October, 2012 in a private family Internment ceremony. You will recall that we had a public service of songs and requiem mass in her honor in both events your support and concern we appreciate” Spokesman of the family, Kenneth Uchechukwu Osokogu said in a press release on Tuesday.
“The Osokogu Family has always been a quiet and private family, My brothers and I would greatly appreciate a quiet internment of only family and close friends”the statement said.

Press release on late Cynthia’s final internment
On Behalf of the Osokogu Family I write to appreciate the Nigerian media and the General Public for their concern, support and care during the disappearance and death of our Daughter and Sister, Cynthia- Valerie Udoka Osokogu. Words alone cannot convey the depth of our gratitude for the role you played in finding her and in the arrest of her suspected murderers.
