Senator Iyiola Omisore has been declared the winner of the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party for the fotrthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State.
Former Governor of Kebbi State,Adamu Aliero led the party’s organizing committee that conducted the primaries.
Omisore, who has been enmeshed in controversy since the yet to be resolved murder of Chief Bola Ige,former Attorney General Of The Federation and Minister of Justice , will thus stand as the PDP candidate in the election in which incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress ,APC is seeking reelection.
The PDP candidate has offered to extend an olive branch to those who contested the PDP primaries along with him.How far PDP can go in its battle to unseat APC’s Aregbesola in the state remains to be seen.
