Pageant HopeSaturday, 23rd August, 2014 was a day filled with entertainment and enthusiasm as the Face of Hope Kids’ pageant organised by Face of Hope Foundation climaxed in grand style at the prestigious Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja the nation’s capital territory where Chinonyelu Nwakalor and Eyitayo Daniel were subsequently crowned as little Queen and King of Hope respectively.
It was a long roll call of Abuja’s best entertainers and creme dela creme of the society; comedy world; dance and music industries to famous fashion personalities.
Also in attendance to grace the debut edition of the humanitarian initiative were Senator Sunday O. Fajimi, AD gubernatorial candidate in the recent Osun state elections; Engr and Mrs M.I Ojo ( parent of the organiser), Mrs Nina kwande, Chief Executive Officer, The Fashion Academy; Mr Chika Uko, a professional model, Robert Iyinbor Roberts, CEO, Edestar Concepts Int’l Limited amongst other dignitaries.
The children who came out in different styles and colour were quite excited to be part of the
ground-breaking event for kids.The twelve final contestants included Shalom George, Deborah Joseph, Sharon Joseph,Victory Udoka, Daniel Icheku, Omon Osagiede, Semen Dagoh, Taiye Ojo, Kehinde Ojo, Eseosa Osagiede, Phil Kanayo and Ifeoluwa Madein.
Speaking after the event, the elated Creative Director of Grazee Stitches , Miss Grace Ibironke Ojo who is also the Founder of Face of Hope Foundation told INTERVAL that the pageant was
needful, so as to expose the kids to the existence of the less priveledge kids who genuinely are in need help of assistance, and also to showcase nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and designs all in an entertaining environment.
While expressing appreciation to participating stakeholders and all that made the event a
success, She promised that the scope of the next edition of the programme would be expanded and tremendously improve. She also encouraged parents to avail their children opportunities provided by the forum.
One of the major highlights of the events included showcase of different designs by the children such as evening outfits, casuals and traditional outfit all with african touch.
Winner of Project fame season 5, Ayobami Ayoola, Dr Ayuba, Nick B, Tope Sax Moralmore and Ruthex thrilled guests and participants with their lyrical prowess.DJGabby was equally on hand doing what he knows best.

Speaking at the event, the star-prize winner, Chinonyelu Nwakalor , the little queen promised to take her advocacy a step further to schools to encourage other children in giving back to the society by reaching out to orphans.

Eyitayo Daniel, on his own part maintained to serve as an inspiration to other children during his reign as king and also encourage them to be generous givers. Face of Hope is primarily an advocacy programmme where the duo of a little Queen and King engage student groups, focusing on encouraging other kids to take more interest in helping the less privileged, as well as encourage their parents to do same.
The idea behind the pageant is to give back to society and to inculcate the spirit and nature of giving at an early age as God’s love is spread through showing love to the less-priviledged.
