The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), an umbrella body of APC governors, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a role model and source of inspiration to many Nigerians.

Gov. Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi and the Chairman of the forum said this while felicitating Buhari on his 79th birthday.

“The PGF joins President Muhammad Buhari and his family to celebrate his 79th birthday, together with all Nigerians; we celebrate this special day with you and your family.

“We acknowledge and commend your leadership, vision and commitment to a united prosperous Nigeria in the last few years,’’ Bagudu said.

Bagudu expressed confidence that under Buhari’s leadership, Nigeria would continue to triumph over her challenges while progressing to a stronger, prosperous and more peaceful nation.

He wished the president a happy birthday and thanked him for his selfless service to the country.

Bagudu reaffirmed the commitment of the Forum to work under Buhari’s leadership with the faith that the initiatives of the APC-led Federal Government would meet the expectations of Nigerians.

“We are very proud of your patriotic leadership. You are our role model and a source of inspiration,’’ Bagudu.

The PGF chief also felicitated Gov. Abubakar Bello of Niger on his 54th birthday.

He wished the governor well and commended his leadership, vision and commitment to a united prosperous Nigeria under the leadership of the APC.

“We acknowledge your contributions to our team of progressive governors through your insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of managing governance in Niger as well as at the national level.

“As the governor of Niger, through all the development initiatives being implemented by your APC-led government, you symbolise the success story of our party – APC,’’ Bagudu said.

He reaffirmed the collective commitment of the Forum to implement programmes that would strengthen the capacities of APC-governed states to create jobs, stimulate economic activities, reduce inequality and poverty in Nigeria. (NAN)
