#TrackNigeria: Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Gombe State, has predicted landslide victory for President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates in the state.
Inuwa gave the prediction in an interview in Gombe on Tuesday.
“With the kind of supports we have been given so far, and the way people have been responding to APC during our campaigns, I am very sure President Buhari will cruise to victory.
“The people have felt the impact of APC’s people-oriented programmes under the Buhari led-Administration and are satisfied.
‘‘From what I have seen, victory is sure for APC at all levels of government.
“Women and youths in Gombe have benefited from Social Investment Programme of Federal Government and we want this to continue in Nigeria; so voting APC is a challenge for all electorate in Gombe,’’ he said.
Yahaya also promised to build a general hospital in Shongom Local Government Area and empower women and youths through the establishment of small-scale businesses.
“Also, my government would set-up small-scale businesses to engage the women and youths in rural areas so as to eradicate poverty and prioritise human capital investment,” he ledges.
He bemoaned the alleged neglect of rural areas by the People’s Democratic Party – led administration in the state, assuring that his government would never renege on promises made to the electorate.
He appealed to the voters to resist being bought over but should rather make judicious use of their mandate by voting for the right candidates.
Also, Mr Zubairu Umar, the Director-General, Inuwa Campaign Organisation, said that the achievements of President Buhari were clear for all to identify and appreciate. (NAN)
