In what was initially believed to be a bomb scare ,some of the major markets in Abuja were shut down Tuesday morning .The places affected include Wuse, Garki and Utako Markets reports said.
Traders and shop owners and others were seen milling around the markets while the shutdown lasted.
The police sealed up the locations in the morning apparently as a preventive measure.Reports said police acted based on available intelligence.
But the markets were later reopened and the police denied that bomb scare was responsible for the closure of markets.
