Mr Aku Aliku, the Wakilin ( Representative) of Eggon Community in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has urged the residents of Karu and its environs to be vigilant and security conscious to ensure peace and development in the state.Aliku made the call while speaking with newsmen in Karu on Thursday.
According to him, security is everybody business, hence the need for people to always report the suspected movement of any persons or groups to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.“We have to be security conscious at all times to ensure peace in our community, the state and the country at large.“As peace is priceless and non negotiable, it is the necessary requirement for the development of every society,” he said.
Aliku has also enjoined parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children in a godly way for societal development.“I want to call on parents to give adequate priority to the education of their children, considering the importance of education to human and societal development.“As no society will achieve speedy development without sound education,” he said.
He called on his subjects and other Nigerians to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations for development to thrive.The traditional chief commended Esu Karu, Chief Luka Baba for promoting unity and peace in Karu Local Government Area and called for its sustenance.(NAN)
