#TrackNigeria – Presidential Candidate of PDP and APC, Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari, failed to participate in the Presidential Debate Saturday.
Reports said Atiku who had flown back to Nigeria from the US was actually at the venue. He however walked away when it became clear that Buhari would not be at the Debate. Atiku reportedly said he would not participate without Buhari.
The PDP candidate however assured that he would send a Bill to the National Assembly to institutionalise the Presidential Debate if he wins this year’s election.
The candidates who participated include YPP’s Kingsley Moghalu, Fela Durotoye of ANN and ACPN’s,Oby Ezekwesili.
The Debate was organised by Nigeria Election Debate Group and the Broadcasting Corporations of Nigeria.
